This week our writing focus has been based around a story called Mr Gumpy’s Outing. We have thought about what Mr Gumpy could have noticed and heard around the countryside and river where he lives, created action sentences about how the animals climbed onto the boat and how the boat capsized and thought about how questions could be asked.

Our maths has been revisiting and consolidating subitising and number bonds, an area where the children have shown massive improvement over the year.

As you have seen, the construction work in the outdoor area has began and already much of the old construction has disappeared. We were very excited when the digger and dumper trucks arrived and can’t wait to watch the work progress next week. Thank you for your patience and understanding while we make sure the children have a safe arrival and dismissal at school.
