Phonics Resources
In June 2022 the children from Year 1 will take the Phonics Screening Check. The Phonics Screening Check is a short assessment to confirm how children's phonic decoding is developing. Each child will read 40 words on the test, 20 of which are real words and 20 of which are fake or ‘alien’ words. The words are designed to test the children's reading and phonic ability.
To help your child prepare we have collated a bank of resources below with different benefits. In the next few months coming up to the Phonics screening it is important that you spend time engaging with the resources as it will help your child greatly.
