Walnut Class Page
The Walnut tree is a symbol of intelligence, wisdom, knowledge, and inspiration. It's synonymous with intellect and mental aptitude – even the nuts resemble the brain! Native Americans see the Walnut as a symbol clarity and focus, gathering of energy, and beginning new projects.
In Walnut Class, the teacher is Mrs Webster and the teaching assistants are Mrs Bennett, Mrs Guyatt and Mrs Allies.

Healthy Body, Healthy Mind - Monday 26th April
Today we joined in with a whole school focus of "Healthy Body, Healthy Mind". We started the day with the teachers showing the children how it's done with a 20 minute workout! The children cheered us on and were motivated to have a go with their session later on in the day. The children worked in small groups and did a carousel of activities. The sun was shining and we had a fantastic time!
This afternoon we talked a lot about how we can keep our mind healthy. We looked at the word "Mindfulness" and thought about how it could apply to us, what it means and what we could do to be mindful. We also learned about our "Inner Chimp" and how to control it - ask your child to tell you all about it if you're not sure!
