Topic Activities

This week, we are continuing our 'Extraordinary me, extraordinary you!' topic.

Below are some topic activities. Choose one that you'd like to have a go at and work on it, a little each day, until you have completed it. Then move on to a new one. Keep checking back, new activities will be added throughout the week.

Activity one - Geography - The Yanumami tribe

The Yanumami tribe are a tribe that live in the rainforest of South America. Work through the PowerPoint to find out more about them and to find out what your task is.

Activity two - Art - African pattern art

African art is often inspired by nature. It is bold and colourful and very important to the people who create it. Follow the PowerPoint to find out more about African Art and to find out your task for this activity.

Activity 3 - Sign Language

British Sign Language (BSL) is used by around 150,000 to 200,000 people in the UK. It is a really important method of communication for them.

Below is the British Sign Language alphabet. Why don't you try to spell out your name and the names of those in your house using BSL. There is also a video showing you how to use BSL to sign the days of the week.
