Spring Half Term 1
KPS Pupil Parliament was officially started this half term when classes voted democratically for their representatives. So far, we have held three meetings which have been well attended and full of creative ideas from the children. It is fantastic to see them taking an interest in life at school and thinking of ways to improve areas of school for their peers.
The first big project we worked on was 'Wellbeing Week'. This was a huge success and encouraged children across the school to think of their feelings and how to deal with a variety of emotions. There was a lot of excitement on Wednesday for 'Cookies and Circle Time' and similarly on Thursday for the 'Secret Task'. As a class, all children were asked to make the letters KPS in the most interesting way possible. Check out the entries below!
Pupil Parliament will continue to meet weekly after half term break. We are excited to see what project they take on next!
Elm (Painted feet helped Elm to 1st place!)
Laurel (2nd place)
Maple (Joint 3rd place for creative use of rice!)
Redwood (joint 3rd place for Morse Code effort!)
