Playground (Autumn 1)
This week we have focused on sounds ‘S, A, T, P and I’ in phonics. On Wednesday afternoon we went down to our Forest School and explored the outdoors. We have also looked at our playground game of the week which was 'Duck, Duck, Goose'. We spoke about playground rules, being fair and safety during games.
An activity for home this weekend is for children to build up a more positive mindset and be independent (e.g. dressing independently, feeding themselves and more 'I can have a go' confidence.)
Below are some links to songs we have been learning this week:

We have had a fantastic first few days in Chestnut class! This week we have made new friends and have started to find our way around school. We have started to memorise the Kempsey ‘school day’ routine, classroom location and the names of our teachers. We are excited to see where our learning will take us this term starting with our new topic ‘Playground’.
