Trip to The House of Lords
We were so incredibly privileged to take some of our children to the House of Lords this week. They were invited to take part in a celebration of engineering with an accompanying three course meal! The children met MP's, Lords, Baronesses and heads of leading engineering industries.
They were truly amazing all day, being great ambassadors for our school. Below, we have copied an email sent to from John Meston, one of the business leaders, along with some feedback from two governors who accompanied us on the trip.
Feedback from Governors
We had the immense pleasure of escorting 15 year 5 and 6 pupils to the House of Lords this week for a quite grown-up event on engineering which aimed to inspire young people to consider this as a future career. They were the youngest people in the room, sitting down for lunch with Lords and Baronesses, MPs, industry leads and secondary students. Amongst this they held their own, with immaculate behaviour and confidence to engage in conversation, soliciting emails to Mrs Baynes from attendees commenting on what amazing Ambassadors they were for the school. Joe Dunnett even had the confidence to ask a question of the speakers - may be a future politician in the making too!
We were both so proud to accompany the children and thank them for taking on this challenge with usual KPS positivity and gusto.
