Lovely words from the Imam
On Monday the Year 5s and 6s visited a Mosque and the Cathedral in Gloucester. We received a thoroughly warm welcome in both places with the Imam in the Mosque encouraging the children to ask him challenging questions.
In response to an email we sent offering our thoughts after the recent events in New Zealand, he replied with the following words.
Thank you for your kind words, thoughts and prayers.
We too at the mosque have been praying for victims and their families and we have been humbled by the outpouring of good wishes and the solidarity shown by our local community and from further afield.
It is in times like these that we truly appreciate the power of human kindness. It is important for us to continue to work together and show those who wish to cause harm to society that we are stronger in our unity.
Peace be with you.
