Welcome to Mulberry class!
Mulberry is a Year 3 class taught by Miss Biggerstaff and Mr Smith.
Ancient Egypt! - 03.05.21
We have enjoyed starting our new topic all about Ancient Egypt this week. During our topic launch day, we explored some of the most famous aspects of Ancient Egypt including the pyramids, hieroglyphics and the ancient tombs. The children are super engaged in their learning and cannot wait to learn more over the coming weeks.
Healthy Body, Healthy Minds! - 30.04.21
We spent the day learning about how we can look after our bodies and minds through exercise. The children and staff all enjoyed our outdoor training session in the sunshine with Jodie!
Dr. Head's Hedgehog! - 22.03.21
Our class governor, Dr. Head, has been to touch to say she has a hedgehog in her garden! She has set up a camera in a hedgehog house to see what it gets up to in the night. We have been lucky enough to see some video footage! What do you think we should call the hedgehog?

Stone Age Poo (To investigate)
In forest school, we found some Stone Age poo! We looked carefully and used what we found to work out what people might have eaten in the Stone Age.
Stig of the Dump
This week, we have started our new class book, Stig of the Dump by Clive King. The children love it so far! It is a story about a little boy who meets Stig from the Stone Age. It links really well with our Stonge Age topic.
Today, we explored cave paintings and looked at the similarities between them. The children then practised using the charcoal to create their handprint in the style of a cave painting.
