Half Term w/c 25/05/20
Hi Year 5! This week it is Half Term so we will not be setting any home learning.
Below are some activities that you can engage with if you would like to keep yourself busy - they are completely optional, we do not expect you to do them!
Take a virtual tour of the cities below:
London - https://www.youvisit.com/tour/london
Rome - https://www.youvisit.com/tour/rome
New York - https://www.youvisit.com/tour/nyc
Istanbul - https://www.youvisit.com/tour/istanbul
Rio De Janeiro - https://www.youvisit.com/tour/brazil
Activity ideas: create a factfile of a city; use the tour for some art by sketching famous momuments or buildings; conduct independent research about a city of your choice; use a tour as a 'Friday Write' and do some creative writing or plan a tour as if you are a tour guide - where will you take your guests and why?
Take a virtual tour of the Eiffel Tower, the tallest structure in Paris ( http://www.3dmekanlar.com/en/eiffel-tower.html ). Here you can see a 360 degree panoramic view of the city of Paris from the tower
( https://www.360cities.net/image/view-from-the-eiffel-tower ).
Visit Neuschwanstein Castle, Germany’s fairy tale castle. The fairy tale look of the castle is rumoured to be Walt Disney’s inspiration for the castle in the Disney classic, Cinderella. It is also the inspiration for Sleeping Beauty’s castle in Disneyland. You can also have a look inside each room of the castle.
Explore the rugged landscape of Giant's Causeway in Northern Island

Car data
When you go on a walk, record the cars that you see in a tally chart. You could focus on colour or make of the car. When you are home, record your information in a bar chart.
