Daily English Activities
If you finish this week's activity of creating your own 'choose your own adventure story', below are some spelling games to play, to help with your spelling of key words, tricky words and year 3 and 4 words.
English Activity - 25.06.2020 AND 26.06.2020
Over the next two days you will be compiling and creating your own 'Create your own adventure' story book. Look at the draft you made yesterday and your plan from earlier in the week to help you. Remember, you'll need a front cover and then the next page will explain why you are in that setting in the first place. Your next page will be the first dilemma which will give 2 or 3 options. Remember to number your pages and to make sure that it's all in the right order.
Add as much detail as you can and don't forget to add illustrations too!
We'd LOVE to see your stories, remember you can email them to the school office so that Miss Beswick, Miss Graham and Mr Dalton can see them.
English Activity 24.06.2020
So far this week, you should have started to plan your 'Create your own Adventure story'.
For today's activity, you need to start drafting your book, thinking about what it will look like when it's completed. Use scrap paper around your home and decide which order everything will go in. Your first page will need to be an explanation of why you've ended up in the setting that you chose, so if your setting was a desert, like mine, why are you in a desert? Remember, everything should be written in the second person ('you', 'your'...) to make the reader feel like they're in the story.
Watch the video below of Mr Dalton showing you what the layout of your story might look like. You don't need to start creating your book today (unless you'd like to!), this is just a draft to allow you to figure out where everything needs to go.
